About the OurPack Health store

The store is run by OurPack Health, Inc., a Nevada corporation. We keep one continuous health record across a pet’s whole life, and we build a care plan for every animal — the care plan is free, and always will be. The store is where an owner gets the things that plan calls for.

How products are chosen

Every product here has to serve the health of the animal. That includes the things people do not always file under health: enrichment toys and puzzles, safety gear, tracking, and testing. It covers reptiles, birds and small mammals as well as dogs and cats, because an owner cannot build a healthy environment out of a catalogue that only knows two species.

Clinical fit decides what we recommend, and nothing else does. When the platform suggests products for a health goal, the ranking reads the product’s suitability for the species, age and condition — not our margin, not a commission rate, and not a placement fee. There is no sponsored position in this store and none is for sale.

How we make money, stated plainly

• We earn a commission when you buy through these links, and it is the only thing we make here. We hold no stock and set no prices — you buy from the retailer, at their price.
• We earn a commission on some outbound links. Where a product is also available at Amazon, Petco or PetSmart, we show an “also available at” link, and we may be paid if you buy through it. It costs you nothing and it does not change the price you pay there.
• We earn nothing on many of them. Plenty of what we list — DNA tests, insurance, some manufacturer-direct products — pays us absolutely nothing. They are here because owners need them, which is the only reason anything is here.

What we do not do

• We do not show you other retailers’ prices. We show ours, and a link. A price we copied last week is a price that may have changed, and we are not going to quote a number on somebody else’s behalf.
• We do not give veterinary advice. Product information and brand claims are shown as the manufacturer states them. Recommendations are educational. Nothing in this store is a diagnosis or a treatment, and nothing replaces your veterinarian.
• We do not sell placement. No brand can pay to rank higher, appear in a recommendation, or be shown first.
